On April 17, 2025, the automobile showroom located in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, officially commenced operations. The showroom integrates B2B wholesale and B2C retail services, dedicated to providing local consumers and corporate clients with electric vehicle products from brands including BYD, Dongfeng, Changan, Kia, and Toyota, offering a range of green mobility solutions tailored to the African market.
Spanning approximately 500 square meters, the showroom features an open-plan layout and digital interactive devices, enabling customers to immerse themselves in the performance parameters, charging facilities, and intelligent features of the vehicles. To cater to diverse needs, the showroom also houses a business negotiation area and an after-sales service center, offering a one-stop service from consultation and test drives to vehicle delivery.
As the first comprehensive automotive showroom in East Africa focused on electric mobility, its opening marks a significant step toward the transition of Addis Ababa’s automotive consumption market toward new energy. The showroom’s manager stated, “We have chosen established brands like BYD and Toyota to promote the widespread adoption of green transportation through reliable quality, while also supporting the electrification upgrade of industries such as logistics and leasing through B2B collaborations.”
In the future, the showroom plans to collaborate with local energy companies to improve the charging network and regularly host technical exchange activities to deepen users’ understanding and trust in electric vehicles.
